Do you get any warning messages or anything?
I would first start with installing [link|https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html|HWMonitor] and keep that running, and monitor it. See if it's a spike in temperature just before it shuts off. It could very well be high temps that makes it shut off, which can be caused by several things.
* Old thermal paste that needs replacing
* Clogged up fans and / or air vents
* Dust buildup inside that prevents air flow for cooling
