I have this happening as well.
Serendipitously I was able to investigate and find a temporary fix, but not sure how to / what to replace.
I removed the circular drain cap in the middle, remove the silver tray and then remove the circular screen.
Once all that was removed, inside the bottom of the dishwasher, on the right side, there is a hole about the size of your finger and a few inches in, there is what feels like a check ball (like a marble at the end of the shaft) This must be some sort of check ball that allows the water in to circulate through the spray arms. I wiggled it and felt it loosen up a bit.
I ran the cycle and it ran perfectly.
The downside- I have to do this every other time to get the dishwasher to run.
