Broken Home Button Cable Lock

Hey Guys,[br]
[br]
I have run into a situation with a customer's iPad Air 3 that came in for a screen replacement. The first screen I ordered came with the digitizer broken, returned and had another shipped out same day. The new screen was perfect and worked fine.[br]
[br]
My issue is that when I migrated the home button over to the new screen and connected the small cable into the connector but when I went to push the lock down, it actually snapped off immediately. The connector doesn't look damaged but the lock is broken off and cannot just put it back on.[br]

Is there any way to get the home button recognized with the current connector? or should I just need to buy a new screen again? lol
