laptop dropped headphone port blocked

hey y’all! i bought this on Ebay recently and while the listing did mention the dent/drop, it also claimed full functionality… as it stands now, the headphone jack is unusable bc headphone cables won’t fit into the port

The seller does offer returns but I’d rather just try and fix it if possible, would it be worth it try and bend the metal back out of the way of the port? maybe some very shallow drilling at the tip of the port?
