iPad first gen does not turn on even after battery replacement

I have this old iPad 1st generation that just wont turn on no matter how much I try.

Not even a battery replacement didnt fix it. I really wanna try out old skeumorphic iOS and this is the only Apple device I own that runs pre iOS 7.
