I washed my iPod nano, but didn't dry it.  I let it set for one day, then plugged it into the computer.  There was no response, so I just left it.

About a week later, I noticed the light was flashing next to the small plug, and iTunes recognized the device.  I clicked restore, and we are back in working order.  Amazing!
