This guy has a pretty good video on replacing the blower motor. There could be twigs, leaves, and other debris in the fan, so it’s possible you could remove it, remove any debris, blow compressed air through it, and it will work just fine. However, watch the video. See how involved it is for your level of IFixIt comfort. Looking around online, the part runs about $60 with a new fan on it so you should not have to remove the old fan and put it on a new motor. Motor alone is about $30. It’s a plastic fan, plastic degrades over time, and after 30 years, you might wanna consider replacing the whole thing so that you don’t have to deal with a replacement fan later.
