[video|3822] Hi I have this TV that was damaged and had a hole in the rear cover to the right of the power supply. it had a vertical line but started normally, loaded up and displayed normally. I laid it on its back cover on cushions and detached the cover with a plastic slide. When I stood it up normally to remove the cover I had a little difficulty with the bottom removal and realized after taking it off the motherboard was attached to the cover and the plastic piece of the cover attached to it stayed on when the cover came off. I found the broken pieces of the cover from the on the bottom and also one had lodged between the ribbon wire from the mother board to the IR controls and ribbon type connections. Once I removed all the broken pieces I ensured all connections were properly attached, wires, motherboard, power supply and lower boards looked normal I plugged it in and the power came on for a few seconds ( the vertical line was gone), dimmed for a few more then turned off and then repeated this over and over. Initially I thought I had caused trauma to the lower on off button as I did not have padding under this when I was removing the cover so I placed padding under the unit to raise that up and it did the same thing. If I disconnect the power supply the unit illuminates and when I plug in the motherboard it shuts off. If you can help with this problem it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
