Many tutorials suggest turn off the battery…i changed my ssd original a few months and forget disconnect the battery and my MacBook Pro 2017 mid has been worked perfectly….this week I upgrade a new ssd and I don't disconnect the battery and nothing happens yet…maybe suggest this to avoid any discharge
