When i plug one or second usb-c connector (under monterey), my macbook shutdown and don’t restart it is possible that this kind of issue could be possible with oxydation of both ports.
I try to dismount my laptop soon to see if ports have oxydation or altered by humidity, in the tattoo woorkshop of my son it's too wet.

when i use quickly booth of this ports plug and unplug charger, i can read in charge or out of charge under battery notification. i suggest a trouble of oxydation and a bad contact with charger, before shutdown probably due to violent electrical short circuit.
