How to connect ssd from MacBook air to universal

I wanted to rescue my data from my older MacBook air Early 2015. I purchased this item  https://vimeo.com/44343143?embedded=true&source=video_title&owner=2326705 , the universal drive adapter from iFixit as it says it should be compatible with my SSD but I could not figure out how to connect the adapter to the SSD. Did I purchase the wrong adapter?
