iPhone 7 Plus water damage - 4013 error

I just received a water damaged iPhone 7 Plus. I took out the logic board, cleaned it with some alcohol. When powered on, the device goes into a boot loop. I put it into DFU mode, tried to restore it with iTunes, however I got a 4013 error message.

I read online that a faulty lightning connector assembly can cause this issue. Is there any way to tell whether the lightning connector is bad?
