i recently got a MacBook pro from a family member that was apparently having issues, it has no os on it so i tried to install high sierra, and it gets around halfway into the apple logo and restarts. i tried to boot into internet recovery but it still has the same problem. i was thinking it could be a graphics card issue because i know that this laptop has an Nvidia discrete GPU in it. if anyone knows a solution to either get macOS to install or possibly disable or diagnose the graphics card, let me know.

EDIT: i booted in verbose mode and before it shut down i got the error Acpi Error: Method Parse/Execution Failed if anyone knows a solution to that let me know
