I have the Skullcandy Crusher BT headphones. I occasionally get a problem where my headphones will connect, but won't play any sound from any audio device. I will try to clear up how to fix this problem.
1) Go to your bluetooth settings on your phone, tablet, or portable device. “Forget” the Skullcandy headphones so that it no longer recognizes the headphones.
(Android) Settings - Bluetooth and Device Connections - Bluetooth - click on the gear next to the headphones (or press and hold headphone name) - click “forget”
(iPhone) Settings - Bluetooth - Press the blue “i” next to the headphones name - Forget this device
2) Restart your portable device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.)
2) As your portable device is rebooting, on your headphones, press and hold the volume up and volume down buttons for 10 seconds. You may or may not hear two beeps. Let go of the volume up and volume down buttons after 10 seconds.
3) Immediately press and hold the power button on the headphones until it says “pairing” or flashes blue and red.
4) Go to settings on your portable device and reconnect the headphones as if it was a new pair of headphones.
This has always worked for me on all of my Skullcandy products, including a loss of bass. As Android and Apple continue updating their Bluetooth, sometimes the packets get mixed up between the device and your headphones, so you have to reset both essentially so that your device recognizes the headphones again and can begin sending the data to your headphones in the compatible Bluetooth signal.
Hope this helps!
