Disconnect the  power supply and power the computer with battery power. This resets the Embedded Controller/Keyboard Controller.

# Unplug the AC power from the computer.
# Press and hold the power button for more than 12 seconds.
# Release the power button (after at least 12 seconds).
# The computer powers on and should boot normally.
# Re-connect the AC power to the computer.
