Microwave - fixing display lights in Digital Readout window

I’ve a 20-years old Sharp Carousel microwave oven, model R-350D. It has a (non-LCD) digital readout where letters and numbers are formed with lit dots. There are now so many unlit dots, it’s impossible to read any instructions, so I could not use many functions. Microwave works perfectly, otherwise.
Can the dots be fixed?
