Try connecting a set of headphones to the laptop and check if there is audio in both of the headphone speakers.
If there is then there may be a problem with the right speaker in the laptop.
Here’s the Ifixit [guide|123120] guide that will help to gain access to the right speaker to check if it is OK etc.
If there is no audio in both of the headphone speakers then there is a problem on the systemboard
