Don’t know the printer but are you sure that there is a battery on the network card?
Looking at the [link|https://printcopy.info/index.php?mod=pc&brand=Epson&model=WorkForce+WF645&page=2|parts list] for the printer, there is a ''Wireless Lan, USB module card'', (see #202 on diagram). I assume this is the network card that you’re referring to.

The Epson part number for the card is [link|https://www.primeparts.ca/Printer-Parts/Epson/Control-Boards/2169212/|2169212] (supplier example only) and when looking at zoomed in images of the card there doesn’t appear to be any battery on it.
