I have found that if this happens, the best way to take out the battery is to first, remove the logic board. After this, heat the back of the phone with an iOpener or Heat Gun to soften the adhesive. Then use a plastic card and/or opening pick to scrape the adhesive out from under the battery. ***This is a bit dangerous, but if done carefully, can help get the battery out.***
