Botched fan replacement now MacBook air wont turn on

Hi,
I followed a tutorial online on how to replace the fan on the macbook air A2179, however when I tried to turn it on afterwards it didn’t work. Subsequently when trying to uninstall and reinstall the fan I broke the connector for the cable that runs to the headphone jack. Does anyone know if the laptop can turn on without being connected to the headphone jack board, and if so what else could be causing it to not turn on.
