How can I disable processor throttling on my MacBook Pro?

I have owned a Mid 2009 MacBook Pro for a very long time now. I bought a new laptop since, but I wanted to start using my MacBook Pro again since I use the other laptop primarily for work. Unfortunately, it has a bad battery in it that barely holds an hour’s worth of charge, and the processor is throttled as a result. Is there any way to stop this from happening? It makes the laptop virtually useless. I have researched different ways of doing this, but nothing is very helpful. I also do not want to replace the battery inside of my MacBook Pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!
