Lenovo IdeaPad 100-14IBY ram not working

Hi all,[br]
 [br]
 I have a Lenovo 100-14iby which supports up to 8GB ram. Currently it is  working on 2GB. I bought a new ram stick with 8GB (I only have one  slot). I have now M471B5674QH0-YK0 and upgraded with KVR16LS11/8.[br]
 [br]
 From what I can see they have all the same specs expect for the memory  size, but why won't the 8GB work on the laptop? When I start the laptop I  only see a black screen. When I put back the 2GB ram, it works well.[br]
