I don’t know if it’s the problem with your MBP but the retina 15” 2012 (board 820-3332) has a well documented issue with IC U8900 on the logic board. The pins around this chip loose contact with the pads causing all sort of issues. A micro soldering job on the pins is necessary to regain board functionality. Do a search on Google for “U8900 repair”.
