The issue here is 100% the circulation pump. Watch this video to see the internal workings of the pump and why it’s failing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ki68BVU-80A
I replaced the door latch first. Sometimes the wash cycle would start, and sometimes it wouldn’t. I pulled the dishwasher out, and could hear clicking coming from the circulation pump at the base. After tapping the pump with a screwdriver, it would start up. The issue is the graphite bushing inside of the pump wearing out, and the internal shaft of the pump gets in a bind because it’s resting on the inside wall of the motor and won’t start up on its own. A little shaking or tapping will help it get started. The more the bushing wears, the harder time it has starting up.
-I ordered a new pump, removed the old and installed the new. Super simple install, which took about 30 mins. 100% success with the dishwasher since.
+I ordered a new pump, removed the old and installed the new. Super simple install, which took about 30 mins. After doing this, I broke the old circulation pump down as shown in the video, and my bushing had ovaled out and there was a ton of wear on the shaft. 100% success with the dishwasher since.
