I would stop pushing it up from underneath with the power still connected as there may be lethal exposed AC voltage on a terminal connection that you can’t see but may accidentally touch.
It sounds like a loose connection more than a short, because shorts usually blow fuses.
Initially it may be better to disconnect the power from the machine and then turn it over and inspect for any obvious loose wiring connections.
Also it doesn’t have to be the Active (L1) wire that is loose, it may be the Neutral wire (N) instead. Without a return path for the power i.e. the Neutral wire, it won’t work either.
Here’s the [document|25497|tech sheet] for the dishwasher that may help.
Whilst it doesn’t show the routing of the harness wiring it does have a wiring diagram that shows the L1 and N wires from the power cord, connected to the electronic control board P4 connector pins 1 & 2.
-If you have an Ohmmeter you can connect from the appropriate pin f the dishwasher’s power cord plug to each terminal in turn and then check if you lose continuity when you push up from underneath etc.
