I recently got a decent deal on an early 2013 (edu) iMac. I bought a new CPU, new RAM sticks, and an SSD to upgrade it a little bit. The upgrades went well except for the fact that the screen no longer displays out. An external screen works, but the built in one does not. I’m thinking about replacing the logic board, do I have to use an EMC 2545 logic board? or can I use one from a late 2013 or late 2012 model? The late 2012 model appears to be the same board, just with dedicated graphics. The late 2013 model has a 4th gen, soldered, CPU as far as I know, but it also has dedicated graphics and my RAM/SSD would work in it. I think these boards would be better than the EMC 2545 board, but I’m not sure what the compatibility for that is.
