@alvinlu the MSI laptops do not have the video cards soldered onto the board, as they are sold under the pretense that the video cards are upgradable.[br]

Its possible to remove the videocard, though it requires the dismantling of the heatsync and fans on both the CPU and video card as the heatsync pipes to the fans connect to both the GPU and CPU.[br]
[br]
Will be picking up some thermal pads and paste, and then trying to reseat the heatsync and card to see if that resolves the issue.
