Replace the larger keys

Hi, I’ve seen a couple of answers on here about removing and replacing the keycaps.
-I spilt lemonade on my keyboard - luckily all the keys still worked but they were sticky. I decided to remove the keys, clean the keys with water and the switches with alcohol. The small letter keys are easy to remove and replace, but the larger keys (command, control etc) with the metal bars, I just can’t seem to get back on. Has anyone got any tips on how to reapply these keys?

Many thanks in advance :D
