The cable your torn is just a grounding cable, it’s part of the shielding sticker which goes over the 3 main flex cables. The white lines usually mean the screen is done for. you could try to unplug the screen and plug it back in but I don’t think it would fix the issue. You most likely applied just a tad bit more pressure on the wire and the screen didn’t like it, these screens are about as fragile as a potato chip (crisp if you’re in the UK). Sorry to tell you but you need a new display.
