I’m facing the same issues right now with my own device. My Apple iPad hasn’t been used, neither the less turned on or even charged, for a few years and now it refuses to turn on. Some months ago, I tried to charge it. I guess I was too impatient because after only, like, 5-10 minutes, I checked on it and it still didn’t turn on. I decided to try again today. But this time, the charger won’t fit because the iPad has a too-big-and-thick-case that seems to have been glued onto it or something. I wandered around through Google for a bit and came across a few things.

(I know you’ve already tried charging it but just try!) Try charging your device overnight and see if it does any charging-progress or to say the least, anything. If that fails, try leaving it charged for 24 hours. If all else fails, then it’s probably the best to say that your iPad needs a new battery. It’s not that expensive.
