The front facing camera of my HP elite x2 G1 is working so badly. The resolution is of course to replace it with a new working one and it will be just fine. But I wonder if somehow I can improve the quality of the front camera (2MP) by either swapping it with the rear (5MP) or replace it with another that is part of some broken laptop. Is any of that possible?

I got an old one from my friend with a note that the front camera performance is awful. After checking up I found it’s like foggy with low resolution for the images.I guess the camera could be somewhat damp inside, so just open and clean it or replace it with a new one could help. But even then it won’t satisfy me because an original one is only 2MP.

My question is that is it possible to interchange the Front camera with the Rear (5MP) or replace with one that I can find in some broken laptop?
