Have you checked the WiFi’s > Preferences at all?
Don’t know the phone and the user manual doesn’t show what the preferences are but with some phones there are preferences such as ''Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep'' (should be set to Always) or perhaps Wi-Fi optimization
Try the following and check if either one resolves the problem:
[https://www.hardreset.info/devices/blu/blu-vivo-xi/wipe-cache/|Wipe the cache partition] and check if it now works OK
Start the phone in [https://www.hardreset.info/devices/blu/blu-vivo-xi/safe-mode/|safe mode] and check if the problem still occurs. If it doesn’t then a ''downloaded'' app is the cause of the problem. The trick is to find out which one. A ''downloaded'' app is one that you installed and was not already pre-installed on the phone when you first got it.
