Hi @schneid403 ,

It is always worth fixing

If it is the compressor or the sealed system then with your model it may not be that expensive as according to the warranty as shown on p.3 of the [https://www.searspartsdirect.com/manual/439oe5zgkw-000583/kenmore-elite-79573157610-refrigerator-parts|user manual] it seems that the compressor has a 10 year warranty and the sealed system 5 years but after the first year you pay for the labour and not the parts, so better than nothing but it ''has to be found out first what the problem is, so more information is needed to help you.''

What is not cooling, the freezer compartment, the refrigerator compartment or both?

Is the compressor motor operating?

If the compressor is operating, can you hear if the evaporator fan inside the freezer compartment at the back of the compartment behind a panel is operating?

It will run as long as the compressor is running and stop when a door is opened (either door) and start again when the door is shut. If it is a quiet fan place your ear next to the fridge cabinet and listen for it to stop when you open a door and start again when you close it.

Do not confuse this fan with the condenser fan which is outside and under the compartments near the compressor unit as it can run whether the compressor is operating or not and if the doors are open or not.

Does the inside of the freezer compartment at the back, feel cold to the touch?

Your responses will determine what to check next as at the moment it could be anything.
