Why are my speakers not working?

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

My internal speakers are not working, and it’s kind of a weird issue. They “pop” occasionally and whenever I try to play any kind of audio, they screech and make a loud white-noise static sound. The computer works well otherwise, but if I play any kind of audio with the sound not muted, it plays for about a minute (can’t hear anything but loud static, no matter the volume setting) and then the computer shuts off. If I plug in headphones, they work perfectly fine. Anyone have any thoughts on how to repair this? I have all the equipment to do SMD-level repair, I just don’t know how to diagnose this.
