Dryer doesn’t heat on high setting only

Hello,

I have a Maytag electric dryer model MEXX655DW1 and bought it in 2018 from HD. Just recently noticed it won’t heat when the high temperature setting is selected. However it does heat on the medium temperature setting. Why won’t the dryer heat on the high temp setting? Thank you
