Display goes black when I press the corner

I recently just installed a new SSD for my mid-2014 13” Macbook Pro. This part went fine, and I booted it up after installation (but before putting all the screws in the bottom plate back) to double check. The problem is that when I try to screw all the screws back in, the display goes black. I narrowed the problem down to the top-right screw (behind the esc button). Could it be that the screw is adding pressure to something inside, causing the screen to go black temporarily? When I leave this screw out, the laptop works fine. When I press lightly on that corner where the screw should be, the display goes black.

Is this something that is easily fixed, maybe a loose connector or something? Any help on diagnosing this would be greatly appreciated.
