Open up the device and check the board for any obvious damage. They components I mentioned should be located near to where the power cord connects to the board.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find any guides or videos that will help you to open the device but if you can open it and you find any signs of component damage e.g. scorch marks, burnt components etc, or even if not, post some close up images of the board back here.

It may be able to be fixed.
