I have an Acer Aspire E5-575 -33 BM
I am running Windows 10, verson 1909
I'm here after running out of ideas. I have no sound and have tried all the logical solutions I know of. My sound card is not even listed in "device manager". I have found in device manager/system devices, there is an error at "High Definition Audio Controller". [br]
In "Services" under Windows Audio, I have found in the properties/dependencies that one of the 3 required services is missing, i.e., "Multimedia Class Scheduler"[br]
I tried to recover this by installing Windows 10 again and keeping my existing files and apps. This didn't work, much to my surprise.[br]
I bought the program "Restoro" and ran a full scan and it didn't fix the problem[br]
I tried downloading and manually installing the update (KB4023057) after it failed via Windows Update. It gives me the error that Windows Services cannot be opened.[br]
I have so many programs that I don't care to do a fresh install of Windows, so this is my last option before going that route.[br]
Thanks, for any help you can offer me!
