I have a slightly older Acer Predator. Not sure about the sound you’re describing but personally, I had a loud annoying noise and it was from the removable 3rd fan. Try removing it and seeing if the noise goes away. Also, sometimes I hear a very low noise (from one of the remaining 2 fans) when the laptop is cold but once it warms up, it’s gone. Feels a little as if the fan is hitting something lightly as it turns.
