Freezer Fan Icing Up

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Samsung Refrigerator model RF4287HARS. At first the ice maker stopped working, I tried resetting then just replaced it. That didn’t do anything so I just gave up on ice and still had water. Then about a month later a loud noise started from the freezer fan. I left it go and 2 months later food started defrosting and at the same time a terrible moldy oder appeared that I could not get rid of. At the time I assumed it was the compressor so I bought a new fridge and stuck this one downstairs. After a few weeks of it airing and draining out (lots of water drained out), I decided to plug it back in. Oder and noise was gone and it worked fine for 4 months with no water hooked up. Now I’m back to ice around the fan with insufficient freezing and the noise. Does anyone know what the fix is other then defrosting it again? I’m not willing to put more the $500 into this, it may be going to the curb soon.
