I ran into this problem on a One S as well. I tried everything including switching HDD with a known working One S HDD and OSU1/2/3 update files.. Nothing worked.

I finally got the One S working again, simply by using another usb stick to put the update files on. My USB stick worked fine on another One S for update, but not on this particular console. So I put te update files on a different USB stick, and started the update: and it worked.

So try using a different brand / make of USB stick in this problem. Might help U as well. Kind Regards Jules
