This could be a faulty power supply, dead hard drive or malfunctioning CPU. further trouble shooting will be required. First thing I'd do is to disconnect everything for right now, including video cables, controller cables hdmi cables etc. this will rule out any loose connections. Then reset the cables. Try resetting your console- Place your console in standby mode (when it shows the red light) then press and hold the power button until you hear 2 beeps. This will reset your console settings however it COULD affect your hard drive data.
Try taking out the hard drive and putting it back in. The instructions to do this are in your user's man Let the console totally cool down. These are just to name a few. I do have a bit of a repair manual that you can download for free :-) [http://www.keepandshare.com/doc/3188580/ps3repairguide-pdf-october-9-2011-8-23-pm-37-1-meg?da=y|from here] you may also want to check [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQSE3WyLhEA&feature=related|this video] I do hope this will help you out. Good Luck.
