Hi Guys.
I’ve dropped my phone in multiple occasions lately, and i noticed some green vertical lines on the right edge of my screen (1-2 pixel thick).[br]
I could make them disappear by just fidgeting a bit with the bottom-right corner of the screen, and they would eventually reappear as some pressure is applied in that place.[br]
The problem is that “the thing evolved” in a way that now, applying a medium-strong pressure in the bottom-right corner of the screen, makes it completely power off (let’s say you’re registering a voice not on whatsapp/telegram, if you apply too much pressure the screen turns off and the voice note gets stopped) and it powers on again when i stop pressing on it.[br]
With these issues, i think i should just need to swap my screen,[br]
BUT, i found out that the bottom-right corner screen adhesive doesn’t stick anymore, this lets me to stick something very thin in it almost as if i was starting to remove the whole screen. In this position, with the screen slightly out of the case, there is no green line, nor the screen powers of if I apply pressure.[br]
I’m too afraid to remove the screen and test further since i don’t have the adhesive to put the screen back, and i’d like to teardown the phone just in case of a screen swap (and also a battery) since i’m not to experienced and wouldn’t like to open and close it multiple times. [br]
Do you think that the clue of the raised screen can be of any help, or should i just swap it once and for all?
