I have an intermittent issue where the computer will turn off (i think when it tries to sleep) and turning it on again will cause the fans to spin and cpu to heat up, but the screen wont turn on and it wont start. The only way to get it to turn on again is to turn it off for several hours, and then turn it on again and leave it in this black screen state for several hours and it finally starts. Hours are required on both ends to make it work, and disconnecting the battery makes no different. It is out of warranty and i wont be taking it to apple, so i need to diagnose and repair it outside of their help.
