I have a very similar problem. It came out if nowhere and I was not doing anything weird with my laptop. I'm using a Lenovo Legion Y530-15ICH
When the problem first came out my first reaction was to reformat my laptop. But the problem still persisted afterwards. My first reaction was that it's a hardware problem

But after pressing caps lock. My laptop spams the number 6. A weird thing that I noticed was that even if I use the on screen keyboard on Windows 10 tablet mode it reacts the same way, and if I turn off caps lock on the on screen keyboard it will work normally again.

Because of this, I think this might be a software/virus issue.
