left speaker not working after replacing right speaker

i bought a replacement part from ifixit to replace the right speaker. After replacing the speaker and starting my computer, the right speaker works great but now the left speaker no longer works. Additionally, i plugged in my headphones in the jack and no sound on the left side. I reopened my mac and confirmed all connections are solid.
