Why is my printer not printing the paper I'm requesting.

I had this printer for a while and it work well back then but now that I need it to print for schools it does not work. For example if I needed to print a photo it would not print the photo it would print a paper that I don’t need anymore or just nothing. I try a hard reset on it from a HP video i saw but did not work.
