Well if only the front panel digitzer is broken you should get apple logo or any image when you turn it on or charge it.[br]
If you get no image on the LCD what so ever i would try to charge it while using a USB voltage meter. You can find it here: [product|IF145-415] . You should get more the 1A while charging and that means its charging fine. If its charging fine but you dont get anything on the screen i would assume the LCD is broken as well.
