First, and MOST important you need to actually look at the module for the revision. That is the Revision 7.4 conversation. The earlier remotes use a Revision 7.2 module but the LCD’s offered on Quin’s website will NOT work for a 7.2 module. He sometimes has 7.2 LCDs but those are used ones harvested off a bad remotes. you can ask.
Replacing the LCD requires some very good soldering skills. If you want to see how then go to Quin’s website as he has posted the repair steps for H1 LCD repair and offers a replacement REV 7.4 LCD or will replace it for you for very little.
Here are the H1 LCDs to order Quin has and the videos to watch.

I have been restoring the H1 for fun n profit for a long time as well.
Very complete directions but the entire process of opening up the remote, disassembly and repair have elements where you could turn your H1 into desk art. Be VERY careful with the touch screen cable. VERY easy to miss and ruin in one step. Quin mentions in the videos but pay extra attention to what Quin says in the Vid. Watch them a bunch of times before jumping in and then use then step by step with your actual effort.
If you do not have chip quick and good gel flux then get the LCD that comes with that extra stuff.
Tell Quin that Chuck P sent you over :)
