I recently bought '''a Motorola Moto Z Z2 Z3 Play Z4 LCD Screen Touch Screen Digitizer Replacement''' for my motorola z play and also bought a new battery. I have installed both according to instructions found here and on other sites. All is good except the touchscreen is not working. I don’t know if I damaged a connection piece or what would cause it. I was able to do a factory hard reset (I think that is what is is called) but still no luck.
I am not sure why it is not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Hello, I did purchase the screen from ebay, but thank goodness it still worked. I ended up ordering the 99% alcohol and cleaning the connector pieces and then reconnecting them like you suggested and it worked!!! So next step is to order adhesive and put it back together.
